The Everest View Trek is perfectly designed for travelers with limited time who wish to experience the beauty of the Everest region, including breathtaking views of Everest, without undertaking the longer journey to Everest Base Camp or Gokyo Valley. This 5-day Everest View Trekking offers a remarkable panorama of Mount Everest (8848m) and other Himalayan mountains in the Everest region. The itinerary includes short hikes from Lukla to Namche Bazaar and a visit to the Khumjung Sherpa village, where you can witness the majestic peak of Mount Everest and countless other mountain ranges. The views are truly awe-inspiring. However, if you have more time available, I recommend extending your trek to the Everest Base Camp or Gokyo Valley Trek for an even more breathtaking experience as you ascend to higher altitudes. This is the real essence of Nepal’s panorama.

This trek, also known as the 5-day short trek to see Everest, offers an opportunity to witness the spectacular views of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Kongde Ri, and Kusum Kanguru from Namche Bazaar and Everest View Lodge. Additionally, you can explore the charming Sherpa villages of Thame, Khunde, and Khumjung, as well as the vibrant town of Namche Bazaar. But we also have the option for the Luxury Everest Trek, which includes a helicopter from Ghorakshep to Kathmandu.

Journey of the Everest View Trek

To begin the Everest View Trek, you will take a 35-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Over the next two days, you will trek through the Dudh Koshi Canyon until you reach Namche Bazaar, known as the Sherpa capital. The following morning, you will hike up to the Everest View Hotel to witness the magnificent sight of Mount Everest and Ama Dablam. The second day of hiking will take you to the picturesque villages of Khunde and Khumjung, nestled amidst mountains and inhabited by traditional Sherpas. On the final day of the trek, you will return to Lukla from Namche and fly back to Kathmandu the next morning. This trek is truly remarkable and will undoubtedly leave you yearning for more adventures in Nepal.

The Everest View Trekking offers not only breathtaking natural beauty but also the warm hospitality of the Sherpa people and a glimpse into their rich cultural heritage. In just five days, you will have the opportunity to appreciate the unique flora and fauna of the Everest region. If you desire, you can also opt for an exploration of the Gokyo Valley or Short Trek to Everest Base Camp via helicopter from Syangboche Airport within this short timeframe.

Namche Bazaar town

During the This View Trek, you will have the wonderful opportunity to visit Namche Bazaar, a historic Sherpa village and the administrative center of the Khumbu region. Namche Bazaar serves as the headquarters for Sagarmatha National Park and houses army barracks, Nepalese officials, a police checkpoint, and a bank.

Besides being the hub of Sherpa culture, Namche Bazaar offers a convenient option for purchasing any trekking or climbing gear you may have missed out on earlier. The Saturday market, as the name suggests, is a vibrant marketplace that offers a wide range of climbing equipment for sale every Saturday morning. It also serves as a meeting place, attracting traders from Tibet and the local areas who sell various goods such as soap, butter, vegetables, and other regional products. If you are interested in an exciting day of shopping during your Everest View Trek, Saturday is the best day to visit Namche Bazaar, explore the shopping center, and browse through the bustling local market.

Additionally, Namche Bazaar is one of the final destinations of the Everest View Trek. The village stands in a horseshoe-shaped bowl, offering a breathtaking view of the sheer face of Kongde. When you walk up to the viewpoint above the village, you will catch your first glimpse of Everest. The ambiance of Namche Bazaar immerses you in the heart of the mountains.

As you trek through Sagarmatha National Park, which is part of the Everest View Trek, you will also have the opportunity to appreciate the unique Sherpa culture and the natural wonders of the park.

When is the right time to do the Everest View Trek?

For optimal temperature and weather conditions, it is advisable to undertake the Everest View Trek during the autumn or spring seasons. Among these two seasons, spring is particularly favored by many trekkers. During springtime, the enchanting Rhododendron flowers bloom, infusing the air with a delightful fragrance and painting the surroundings with vibrant hues.
