The Nagarkot Changunarayan day hike trip starts From your hotel in Kathmandu, drive early in the morning with your private vehicle to Nagarkot Sunrise View Top, which is located about 32 km east of Kathmandu. One hour and fifteen minutes by car from Kathmandu. We pick you up from your hotel at 5 AM and drive you to Nagarkot Hill via Bhaktapur, the old city of Nepal.

Alternative day hike near the Kathmandu
We lead the Nagarkot Sunrise hike, but if you plan to stay overnight during the high season, plan and book your room in advance, as hotels often become full later in the day. When you arrive later in the day you may have to take whatever you can get, which might mean a room without a view. In the afternoon, you will have a better selection of rooms if you arrive before the tourist buses. The hotels are often booked by agents in Kathmandu, who charge inflated prices. The most efficient way to book a room is to call the lodge or hotel directly. Budget hotels usually do not have hot water or heating. In the winter, you might want to bring a sleeping bag.
4:30 AM – Hotel Pickup and Drive to Nagarkot

12:30 PM – Explore Changunarayan Temple

1:00 PM – Lunch Near the Temple
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant near the temple and relax in the peaceful surroundings.
